Peng Wu, PhD, associate professor in the Department of Molecular Medicine, received the 2021 Glycobiology Significant Achievement Award by the Society for Glycobiology. In his lab, Wu integrates synthetic chemistry with glycobiology to explore the cellular and molecular mechanisms that control immune responses to cancer and human pathogens. He earned his doctoral degree in chemistry at Scripps Research’s graduate school, now the Skaggs Graduate School of Chemical and Biological Sciences.
