The U.S. News & World Report has recognized Eric Topol among 25 individuals in the country who are making a significant impact in business, education, public health and public service. In addition to Topol, the 2025 edition of the ‘Best Leaders’ list includes luminaries and thought leaders, such as Mark Cuban, Dolly Parton, Michael J. Fox and MacKenzie Scott.

Topol is an executive vice president and professor at Scripps Research and the founder and director of the Scripps Research Translational Institute. His research focuses on the use of genomic and digital medicine tools, data and artificial intelligence to accelerate individualized medicine. He has published over 1,300 peer-reviewed articles with over 380,000 citations and been elected to the National Academy of Medicine. He is the author of four books on the future of medicine. The most recent one, a New York Times bestseller titled Super Agers: An Evidence-Based Approach to Longevity, provides a data-driven overview of the medical breakthroughs that are primed to extend healthspan.
