The link between circadian rhythms and your health

The body's internal biological clock, known as our circadian rhythm, is now understood to control almost all of the physical, mental and behavioral changes that take place each day.

Katja Lamia, PhD, is investigating the molecular processes that occur when these rhythms are disturbed, and how they might contribute to the risk of cancer and metabolic disease.

The insights could help inform policies and treatments designed to help those who experience chronic circadian disruption.
